A Castle for Christmas: Super-thin writing, super-thin plot, Brooke Shields doesn’t do it for me at all. BUT still kind of glad I watched it because the knitters are adorable, and Cary Elwes is a joy to watch every minute he’s on screen — and there are at least two Princess Bride references, which is just charming.
Single all the Way: Just perfect. So good, I wish I’d written it. Plays with rom-com tropes, and manages to fulfill them all while simultaneously subverting them. And the dialogue! The sweetness! I mean, it’s light and fluffy, but in the nicest way. I don’t want to spoil it for you, so just go watch it. Okay? Okay.
