Sometimes you just have to accept that you’ve killed your basil with neglect and give in and buy another, because the tomatoes are finally ripening (planted them late, in not enough sun), and soon, you’re really going to want basil for them.
This cherry tomato is “Blue Berries,” grown from seed, woot! And btw, while the one I planted in my window box has also produced tomatoes, the one in the ground is easily 5 times as big, with 5 times as many tomatoes. So I think I won’t try window box tomatoes again; it was an interesting experiment, but feels kind of silly when I do have garden space for them.
