Kavi has now tried hoppers (from frozen pre-made) and potato sothi. She didn’t like the hoppers at all — I’m going to try her on fresh next time I have energy to make them. But she liked the sothi, so I think that makes four Sri Lankan dishes she reliably likes: ginger-garlic chicken, potato sothi, milk toffee (as long as I don’t put in too many cashews), and love cake.
Bit by bit, I’m going to get her there, and Anand too. Am tired of cooking kid food separate from grown-up food on too many nights.
