Both Kavi and I have homework reading we are less than enthused about. She has several chapters of her one-school, one-book project to get through today; I’m reading Weiss’s _The Cage: The Fight for Sri Lanka and the Last Days of the Tamil Tigers_, which is interesting and useful for novel research but also depressing. We’re motivating ourselves with pie. Read a chapter or two, eat some pie, repeat. She’s got pumpkin, I’ve got apple. Thankful for pie.
Kavi wanted to know why I still had homework, since I’m an adult. I tried to explain that this was self-assigned homework, so I could do a better job with my writing, and she just looked at me as if I were a fool. Doing homework when you don’t have to???
I may have slipped a few notches in my daughter’s esteem today.
Hey, love your blog!!!! Where the heck is anand?? Haven’t heard a peep about him in ages!! Happy holidays, long time reader
Heh. He’s great; doing better in school now, though we do think he qualifies for an ADHD diagnosis. Sticking to occupational therapy supports for the moment; we’ll see how it goes. If you’re on Facebook, I’ll note that I post a fair bit more over there, just because it’s easier. I try to remember to copy over the most significant bits here, but just don’t have time to do everything.
