Spent an hour putting away spring clothes and taking out summer. It’s labor, but kind of enjoyable labor, as it:
a) keeps space free in my closet so clothes aren’t as jammed in there,
b) makes getting dressed more pleasant / efficient, since I have fewer choices to consider, and
c) lets me feel a little like I’m going shopping, discovering these clothes I like that I haven’t seen in nine months. And
d) there is something refreshing to my spirit about changing the color scheme with the seasons.
Summer for me is mostly blues and whites, which surprised Kavya, who was arguing that summer should have lots of yellow. Which makes sense, except I don’t much like yellow. 🙂
