Last spring, I picked up some succulents on a whim and then didn't know what to do with them. Found an old silver-plated bowl in a closet (thrift store find), added plants and pebbles, stuck it out on the sunny back deck and ignored it completely for months. Apparently, benign neglect & succulents go well together.
