I'll be speaking at a journalism cocktail event for AAJA-Chicago -- if you're a member (or friend of a member), I hope you'll come out:

Please join us after work on Friday, July 19, for a drink at WBEZ�s Navy Pier studios. A big thanks to WBEZ for again hosting AAJA-Chicago for our third annual summer cocktail event.

This year�s special guest is author and English professor Mary Anne Mohanraj. She�s the associate coordinator of the Asian and Asian American Studies program at UIC. Check out her blog at http://www.mamohanraj.com.

We�ll have food and drinks and spectacular views of the city from BEZ�s patio. The event is free for AAJA members and $10 for non-members so please bring your friends.
