I meant to grade this…

I meant to grade this morning, but my brain just refused. Instead, I looked at design stuff instead for several hours, and am actually feeling optimistic that I can somehow integrate:

• clean lines
• cream / white / antiqued silver / old wood
• medieval/Gothic designs
• red / orange / gold
• Chinese antiques
• Indian furniture / fabric / metalwork
• bright pink / orange (with bright blue/green accents)
• steampunk artifacts
• brass / copper / tin
• silk / velvet / leather
• paint and wallpaper
• a ton of books
• many green, flowering, and fruiting plants
• a Victorian house

So that we end up with:

• a delicate lady's parlor
• a gentleman's study
• a child-friendly library
• etc. and so on...

I know it sounds a bit crazed, but I think it can be done. Mostly by focusing differently in each room -- the trick is going to be transitioning gracefully from room to room, so it doesn't end up looking like one of those themed bed-and-breakfasts, but instead flows relatively seamlessly.

But right now, I need to throw on some outside clothes and go meet with an arborist, who will hopefully tell me which of our trees can be saved, which should be trimmed, and which should come down...
