I'm grading this morning on the roof, catching as much breeze as I can (it's a high of 80 today). Thought I'd put up a photo of the finished gazebo curtains (sari fabric attached to more solid curtains), which primarily provide extra shade and privacy from the building that has been built to the east since we moved in here. Now I can hang out up there in my nightgown and work without worrying about disturbing the neighbors. :-)
Curious…are the curtains waterproof? Or do you have to take everything down if there’s a chance of rain?
What a lovely space! It makes me relaxed just looking at it!
Dayle, we just leave it all up. It rained last night, and everything seems to have dried out fine. I’m not sure what’ll happen to the white curtains in a really heavy thunderstorm, if they get soaked through; they might pull down? We’ll have to wait and see. But the sari fabric on the canopy we left up all last spring/summer/fall, and it did fine.
