Had a paper accepted for…

Had a paper accepted for SALA, one that I wrote in grad school, titled "Singular Hybridity." Pleasing. Looking forward to presenting it. Need to write up a proposal for a panel or two at MLA, and maybe for AWP. I wonder whether submitting multiple panel proposals makes it less likely that they'll take one? The ways of academia are wondrous and strange.

V. pleasant day today. Read in the morning, went to rehearse with Satya and the song sounds super-cool. I can't believe she wrote it. Came back, puttered, read, and then Nilofer came over, and we've been working for 3-4 hrs now, churning through e-mail. Sujata just arrived, and we'll be stopping work soon and just hanging out. Maybe we'll play a board game, or watch tv. Order Thai food. Mmm...
