By the way, I'm not entirely neglecting the SLF in all this. Last night I had dinner with SLF stalwart Deborah Biancotti, who was visiting from Australia. We were both very very tired, so it wasn't ideal conditions for meeting for the first time, but we had a good time nonetheless, over pub food at the Silver Cloud. (I had sloppy joes and stole some of Deborah's tater tots. I felt like a five-year-old.)
We talked about what we need to get back up to speed with the foundation, and some exciting possiblities for projects next year. In a few weeks, you'll probably see a call from me for some volunteer staff, so you could start thinking now about whether you might have time in 2006 to help out with the SLF. Should be fun. :-)
