Okay, so these
roasted garlic mashed potatoes did not do good things for dieting yesterday...but my god, they were delicious. We were out of vermouth, so we just used twice as much broth, and I think it might be even better with vermouth, but it was just pretty darn good anyway. I made a half recipe, which is enough to feed Kev and me for yesterday and today's dinner -- make the whole recipe if you want to try these for Thanksgiving. If no one else volunteers to make potatoes for my pre-Thanksgiving shindig, then I'm just going to go ahead and make these.
Besides, they're not nearly as bad for you as David's mom's mashed potatoes, which have cream cheese and sour cream as well as butter...
The plan for today -- get some work done. Yesterday I was a big slacker. Once Kev gets up, we need to haul a carpet (that we decided doesn't really work) down to the mailboxes, etc. place. Then swing back here, pick up my computer and books, and off to Borders to hunker down and do some work. We'll attempt the CYO revisions and see what happens.
