I have to admit to being pretty ignorant about what's happening politically right now -- mostly, I don't want to know. This is an irresponsible position, and one that I suspect will become untenable pretty shortly. Mostly, I'm enjoying having my sister and her boyfriend visiting (they arrived late last night; we had stuffed spinach pizza and chatted for a while before bed). But occasionally, I run across something like this distinction made by Senator Ted Kennedy, about pre-emptive vs. preventative military action. And it makes me think.
