Hmm...what did I do today? All sorts of paperwork, for the most part; cleared most of my desk and all of the dining table. Really needed doing; discovered all sorts of interesting things in the process. Mostly things I should've done a while ago. :-) But nothing too tragic or irrecoverable. (Is that a word?)
Also class. It's sort of amazing to me sometimes how much work I can get done in a day if I actually power through. On the other hand, if you don't have a social life or a love life, you can work for twelve hours and still watch four straight hours of tv before you go to bed. And even get bored and restless enough watching tv that you end up doing a little exercise while you watch. Sit-ups, stretches, even a couple push-ups. Gods, I hate push-ups. It's the breasts, I think. They're just not suited to push-ups.
I also tried lifting up into a backbend, just for the heck of it. There are a couple of things I always did really easily, even when I was in the worst shape. One is that thing where you sit on the floor with the soles of your feet pressed together (sort of like cross-legged, but not actually crossed), and then lean forward until your nose touches the floor. I can still do that, barely. It used to be easy. I used to be able to press my cheek against the floor. The backbend, you lie down on your back, put your hands back above your shoulders, and then just lift into an arch. (Alternatively, you can start standing and lean over backwards 'til your hands touch the floor; that's a fair bit harder, though.) I can still do it -- but my back hurt! What the hell! I think I seriously need to do some stretches 'cause this is just ridiculous. I know I'm getting older, but not that much older, dangit.
Anyway, I'm not sure I had a point there. Still feeling oddly energetic, despite the long day. Perhaps I'll go do some toe-touches, or jumping jacks. Some women I know won't do jumping jacks 'cause it makes their breasts bounce up and down, but I think it's kind of amusing.
Lots of breasts in this entry, huh? More than usual, anyway...
