I Like the Pointy Leaves

One of the new natives I planted last year (which is why I left the tag, since I’m not familiar enough with it yet to identify it when it’s emerging. You don’t want to pull it accidentally, thinking it’s a weed. Sharp-lobed hepatica; I like the pointy leaves. It should have little white flowers soon.

Happy Thalia Daffodils

Thalia daffodils, after watering. Much happier now. Locals, if you have any new plantings, DEFINITELY water them today if you haven’t yet this week — they’re likely struggling in this bizarre heat, and you could lose them completely. We’re not expecting rain ’til Saturday, and today and tomorrow will continue hot.
