Glare makes it very difficult to get a good photo of her from the outside – maybe in the early evening I can get a better shot. But you get the idea, I think. I like how she’s framed by the leaf & dot mobile I made last week. Okay, enough craft puttering – now
Or possibly a halo? Some silk flowers from Michael’s, a wire cutter so I could clip off some small pieces (silk flowers can be pricey, but if you cut them up, you can really stretch them to use in multiple displays), thin copper wire to bind them to the gold metal circle (also from Michael’s).

I tried the serger threading method of tying the new thread to the old thread, and just running it, and it totally worked and was really easy! I admit, I was suspicious, but Carollina told me it would work, and she’s usually right about this kind of thing, and she was right again.
Also texture mat, which only sort of worked, maybe because my clay was too soft? Experiments.

Tentative plan — I’ve folded the random knit rectangle over, and I think it’d make a really cute little bag for autumn. I’d sew a bag for sturdiness, probably lined, and then attach this to the outside. I have a little yarn left over, but not enough to make a cord for the bag —
