Today’s party involved a lot of gaming — 304, a bridge variant, was popular with the Sri Lankan grown-ups. I spent a while trying to learn the rules, and I think I have the concepts down, but now I need to practice with some very tolerant people, because it’s going to take me a while

Scenes from a Christmas party. Several of my aunts who live locally wanted to host parties, so we have parties four days in a row. Most are more casual and just my immediate family — this was the fancy one with a bunch of other guests. Some of us danced, some of us did not.
