Checkered fritillaries. I was on the porch earlier today, and I saw a couple walking past, and the woman stopped still and made the man with her come and look at these, blooming in the parkway strip. Made me smile.

New tulip for my garden — “Spring Green”. I like it, I think, though I was hoping for more white and green — it may get a little more white as it goes, though. And I think it’d be more striking against a colored backdrop, so have to think about whether I want to move
Hellebores and Thalia daffodils. The hellebores are new in this parkway strip; I like how the composition has come out. It’s easy to take pretty photos of beautiful individual flowers. Much trickier planting them so they grow in the right place at the right time at the right heights to look nice together.

Happy how this bit of garden design came out. I like all the different textures and colors around the blue pot. Now, if the blueberry I planted in the center will just make actual berries, I’ll be really happy… There are four other blueberries nearby, and they’ve all had amendments added to the soil. Fingers
