I took a lot of garden photos, so you’ll probably be getting those throughout the day — George and Parris have put in some stunning landscaping since the last time I was here.
I don’t think I’m ever likely to live in Santa Fe, but it’s nice to know that if I did, I could have plenty of flowers. I think the ones they’ve chosen are pretty drought-tolerant too; I haven’t noticed them doing much watering this week. The hollyhocks are stunning, also the delphiniums.
I also adore the decor here. I’m trying not to take too many photos that might impinge on their privacy, but from the outdoors, you can enjoy the giant stone elephants (Parris loves elephants) and the porch railing made of swords (a few of them actually pull out, so one could defend the castle, if one needed to…)
