Lots of experimenting here with drying flowers. Sometimes they don’t work out. Desiccated dandelions? Not so appealing; I don’t think I’ll be doing anything with those. Will stick to dandelion simple syrup or dandelion wine, I think, if I’m wanting to do something with dandelions.
Desiccated columbines, on the other hand, are PERFECT. Now the only problem is that I want to go harvest a bunch more and dry them, but I also want them to look pretty in my garden, at least until Friday, when I’m hosting the May OPALGA+ potluck. Well, maybe I can trim a little bit and start another batch going, and then collect more this weekend, after the potluck.
They are going to make SUCH pretty bookends.
