The dogwood petals are VERY delicate

New set of bookends finished — dogwood branch and blossom. The dogwood petals are VERY delicate — they end up having a lot of thin, translucent spots, if you look closely.

Part of me is a little frustrated, because I’d prefer them opaque — but this is what you get when you work with nature. Plants are going to do what they want to do. If I wanted completely perfect, reproducible, identical blossoms, I’d use faux flowers!

Will likely take these down to Sprout Tuesday (they’re closed on Mondays), unless they’re claimed before that.

EDIT: Sold.
