I checked to see if anything sold in the shop over the weekend, not really expecting it — but yes! I had a few sales on Friday and Saturday. Two resin bookmarks, one necklace, one tea towel. Very cool. 
As you can see, my monthly rent is $225 (plus my working the shop for three 5-hr shifts / month), and they take 5% on sales. So I’ll need a few more days like that to even break even in October, but this is a very nice start. Makes it all feel more real.
I haven’t finalized my entire October schedule, but I’ll definitely be there on Friday October 20th, from 10-3, so that would be lovely time for people to stop by and say hi, check out the store — and if you want any books personalized to you or for a gift, that would be a perfect time.
