Labeling and Tagging

This is what I was doing from 7-8 last night — moving as quickly as I could to put labels on tags and attach tags to textiles.

It’s much easier slapping a tag on the back of a pair of earrings; for the textiles, I ended up pinning the tags to them, which is maybe not the best solution, but I couldn’t think of anything better. Next week I’m going to wander around and see what everyone else is doing, find out if there’s a better option; I can re-do mine, if so.

I also re-did the little info cards; I originally hand-wrote them, but my handwriting is not beautiful. So I tried typing them instead, and that’s better, I think, but the font is a little small — I think I could almost double the font size and still fit them on most of the cards, so I’ll probably re-print and redo those next week too. I don’t know if people will actually read them, but I figured it would be nice to provide a little info on the books, and also let people get to know my story a little bit.

Other things that are still missing — all my social media handles, a note saying they can order digital copies or curry powder from me directly, or pick the latter up at Carnivore Oak Park, a note listing all the Spoonflower indie designers I use for my textiles, and the names of the fabrics. But we’re getting there!
