I couldn’t get a picture of it in flight — they’re so fast! — but that’s a hummingbird perched on the green stake at the far right of the photo. Came over to have a few wee sips from the black-and-blue salvia there.
(I’ve been watching too much of this Scottish gardening show, I think, Beechgrove. The accents are just so delightful.)
