Weekend alteration project #1. Secondhand (thanks, Trends Oak Park!) Eddie Bauer black knit dress, not my usual style, but seemed like it might be a good staple piece. But below-the-knee on me, didn’t make me happy. I’m only 5’0”, so it’s helpful if my clothes are scaled appropriately.
Cut off 7(!) inches, hemmed it, and now I have a cute easy dress to throw on with sneakers and run errands; it’d also dress up nicely with accessories and dressier shoes. And if I’m craving color or print, a bright scarf should do it.
