I’ve finally given up on trying to have trailing plants on these higher planters — after ten years of regularly dying plants, I’ve accepted that I’m not going to regularly climb up on the bench on the other side and remember to water them. So I have replaced with faux trailing succulents, and I think I like it fine.
I still like the live ones on the left better, though. They’re much easier to water, so I mostly remember, esp. since succulents are fairly forgiving in that regard. Need to cosset the middle one a little, as it’s struggling, and find a succulent for the third empty one. Soon.
