Maybe if I keep buying storage units

Between my clothes, the kids’ clothes, the laundry full of towels and bedding, all the sewing projects in progress, and the stash of fabric I bought because it was just too pretty to pass up, I am drowning in fabric. (To be fair, Kevin deals with his own clothes and mostly with Anand’s too. And washes a lot of towels and bedding. It’s the put away where we both stall out.)

Maybe if I keep buying storage units and bins I will eventually be able to put it all away? That’s the dream.

It’d be nice if someone else did all the hanging and folding though. I am VERY TIRED of hanging and folding fabric. But it’s hard to ask a family member to help, or even to pay someone else to do it, because most of it requires decision-making on my part. Sigh.

New IKEA Kallax shelves, assembled today while watching The Substance with Kavi and Kev. She wanted to watch it, and I agreed, even though I’m not so much a horror person, and I admit, most of the last 45 minutes or so, I was not looking at the increasingly gory screen and mostly focused on assembling my shelving. But Demi Moore did a fabulous job with the role, so good for her. Don’t expect a lot of plot, though.

Really like the new sunburst style baskets from IKEA. Very cheery. Kind of wishing I’d bought four, though, to go all the way across the top. I could just get another.

But on the other hand, I don’t really want a blue bin on bottom right, because I have my patterns in those file baskets, and they wouldn’t fit inside a bin inside a cube. Maybe it’s okay as is. Or I could move one of the blue bins to the basement (where there is more IKEA shelving) and move the white pattern containers and the white blocking mats to the bottom middle, and flank them with the blue baskets. Hm. Or the blue baskets can all go somewhere else, and I could put some drawers in, which might be more functional.

Will probably live with it for a bit before deciding. Maybe. There’s a really inexpensive large rug at IKEA that I was waffling about. Maybe I get a rug to cover the damaged wood floor and a basket. It’s late, I’m tired, and I have a computer and a credit card. Dangerous.
