Kavi’s second Friendsgiving (for 13) was a big success. Her friends are really good cooks, way better than I was at their age! Honestly, her meal was better than mine. 🙂 Kavi didn’t actually cook, but she managed it all, which is a major job unto itself.
I helped set the table before heading off to work at the Shops, and came home right when they were carving the turkey, so helped a little with the last-minute elements. Kevin had made the ham, and the kids tried to clean up some, but he ended up doing dishes for hours that night and the next day, so he’s the real hero of the revolution here.
Really glad she has such lovely friends.
Please note how beautifully Kavi’s curled her hair (she just learned how to do that, it looks very cool) and disregard the piles of clean laundry in the background. Laundry has totally been failing around here lately. Between the Shops and Thanksgiving, something had to go.
I’m very amused by how they were all using their cell phones to hold their place at the table.
