Dahlias and mums — first four photos were harvested today; the last photo is from the prior harvest. I feel like I went a little nuts harvesting, but the weather has been really mild, and she has a ton more buds on the plants — I suspect she’s going to have lots blooms into mid or even late November.
My favorites of her dahlias are the two near the center of the last picture: the pink-orange one (a little bedraggled, but still stunning) is Labyrinth, the purple-white one is Fancy Pants. I’m going to try to remember to grow them next year…
They’ll be dry in a week, and then, I think we try to pour a table. Maybe two. Mix the colors, or keep them in their separate color families? Opinions welcome.
