Bonus if you love flowers!

Nice — started this morning at the Berwyn Shops with a good sale — someone getting a gift for a friend got a copy of my Sri Lankan cookbook, a set of castle fabric coasters, a necklace, and a greeting card. Boom!

I think the theme of my shop is basically:

This is where you buy all the pretties for yourself or your dearest friends and family. 🙂 Bonus if you love flowers! And really, who doesn’t love flowers?

Speaking of flowers — I could use some advice. The shop came with a globe lamp, which was fine and neutral, but didn’t cast much light. I’m going to want a lot more light on gray days and as winter encroaches and daylight disappears earlier.

I found this beautiful green flower light, and I hung it, and I’m happy with it. The only constraint is that the exposed bulb is pretty bright — I’ve tried to hang this one at just below most people’s eye level, so the green glass is shading the naked bulb. I could switch to a lower-light bulb, but that works against the goal of getting more light in here.

I’m planning to add more fairy light strings around (as soon as I dig them out of the Christmas boxes), so that will also help with the light situation overall.

Here’s the question — I bought two of these. Should I:

a) just return the second

b) hang a second in the same central place (which is also where there’s a convenient second outlet), putting them both a little away from the center, and hanging the second a little lower

c) same as b, but with the second at the same height (moving them even further apart, maybe a foot between them)

d) hang the second in the back corner, probably higher up (have to check if this is possible, depending on outlet placement)

NOTE: at 12:30 today, I’m planning on a UV resin workshop; if you’d like to join for that, swing by. Free to try, $10 if you want to make a pendant and take it away with you.
