I love how well phlox holds color

I know I’ve been posting all-Walz-all-the-time today, but that’s because the sweet dad energy is honestly fun (reminds me of the vibe of Captain Pike on Star Trek SNW, cooking dinner for the crew, apron and all, and doing the dishes afterwards too), and also because I’m a bit jet-lagged and still trying to get back up to speed.

Also, in all the native garden tour and college tour and hospice and such, I somehow failed to get my Vyvanse prescription renewed in time (I have a monthly reminder set in Gcal, which normally works, but apparently not if I’m too harried to notice it), so I have much less brain than usual. Focus, what? Me? Look, there’s a shiny pretty! There’s another!

Sigh. Hopefully, my doc will authorize refilling my prescription soon. She’s usually good about doing it within a day or two of getting the computerized request.

I did do some relatively mindless work today. Like taking dried flowers out of desiccant, and harvesting some more and putting them IN desiccant. I’m not sure if the mandevilla will be too delicate for that, but we won’t know until we try….

Mostly I’m drying flowers from my own garden, but the roses, phlox, white (mums?), and dianthus here, are from one of Gigi Rowe’s flower bouquets. I love how well phlox holds color in desiccant — vibrant!
