Actaea racemosa / fairy candles / bugbane (native), with bee.
Cute little white balls of buds that start feathering out from the bottom. This shrub used to be very full and flower heavily, but it’s quite shaded by the redbud now, and isn’t blooming quite as heavily, and the spires are often curving now.
But it’s apparently hard to move, and I’d hate to lose it — it’s one of my largest natives. So I think we just leave it for now — maybe I can trim away a little of the redbud above and get it some more light.
