Card-making workshop at Sprout yesterday — I had a pretty good set-up, but didn’t think to bring markers! Next time. People asked if I would do it again, and I said maybe — would people do Valentine’s Day cards? I could do another workshop possibly in late January or early February.
I brought supplies to do pressed flower cards and bookmarks, embroidered cards, etc. and so on, but we mostly did stamping and embossing, which was fun to teach people. It’s like magic when the embossing gun heats up the powder and everything goes gold or silver. I taught a few adults, and several kids — very cute.
I don’t get to spend so much time with small children these days, and it’s very satisfying, seeing how easily they are just DELIGHTED. That last little girl was determined to use every single stamp I brought, and every single color of stamping ink.
