–who won best novel for Saint Death’s Daughter (which I haven’t yet read, but obviously have to). She gave a lovely and clearly very heartfelt speech, which you can read here.
Also pictured, Priya Sharma, for her novella “Pomegranates,” which I also haven’t read, but plan to. (It appears it’s only available in hardcover – is that right, folks? I prefer ebook these days…) She also gave a lovely speech, via Zoom.
Here’s the full list of nominees and winners — you could do worse than to add all of these to your to-read piles.
In particular, I want to recommend one of the other nominees for Best Novel, Nicola Griffith‘s _Spear_, a really lovely Arthurian retelling which I have raved about here before. If you’re into audiobooks, she reads it herself, and does so beautifully.
