Hey, it’s me in the security camera, working my first shift at Sprout. It’s been a while since I worked retail, although I certainly put in plenty of time there in the past! It’s a lot of smiling and chatting; I’m glad the shifts are only five hours, because I’d have a tough time keeping up extrovert energy for longer.
This is the booth across from where I’m sitting at the cash register, Nushku Decor, items (mostly candles) imported from Mexico. Nushku means god of fire and light.
Lots of the vendors here are Hispanic, unsurprising, since Berwyn as a suburb has a large Hispanic population. It’s nice to be surrounded by so much color. 
And I’m getting a chance to practice (and hopefully improve) my terrible Spanish…
I’m also getting an education in Taylor Swift, because my manager is a Swiftie (that’s the term, right?), and she is giving me the background on various songs as they come up. Kanye is not coming off well!
