Darlow’s Enigma Rose With Jackmanii Clematis

Jackmanii blooms on new wood (group 3 clematis), so if you want blooms lower, you need to prune it down in the spring — usually people prune to 1-2′ above ground level. I don’t mind having it bloom higher, because I can enjoy the top of the arbor from my front porch.
