There had to be one. I don’t know how long I’m going to keep this mix of silver / light blonde / dark blonde hair (sometimes it feels a little stark against my skin?), but it does go very nicely with my sari blouse.
The sari is one of my mother’s, and we couldn’t find the matching blouse or blouse piece — I’m sure it’s in the house somewhere, will look for it again. But I bought a separate blouse that I loved while Kavi and I were shopping up on Devon, and though they’re mismatched, I think it basically works. Also, the blouse is covered in little embroidered flowers, which was very apropos for a party at the Conservatory, but the flowers also sort of look like stars, which makes me even happier.
The only problem is that I spent so much time getting Kavi all fixed up, I barely did anything for myself, including not tailoring the blouse to fit me ideally. I threw this on in about ten minutes before running over to the Conservatory for set-up — no make-up even, oops! I should’ve brought it with me and done a bit there once I was done with set-up, wasn’t thinking. In my defense, I only slept three sequential hours the night before. Hence, a little make-up would have been useful. Oh well.
All of which meant that the blouse ended up slipping off my shoulder all day, leading to various relatives coming over and fixing it for me. Oh well! I’ll adjust it before I wear it again! I think it likely just needs a tie at the top, to cinch it a little tighter there.
