I’ve been trying to make more quiet space in my life, less running around after deadlines. It’s a process. But one thing that helps is taking garden photos.
It’s interesting — I was talking to a friend recently, and she said the two things she had to stay away from were video games and photography, because she’d get hyper-focused and lose too much time.
I get that for video games, but maybe I’m just not that good a photographer — I’m never going to spend an hour composing the perfect shot. So I can just do a little of it, here and there, and it’s relaxing. I did climb on a chair to take this photo, which is pretty high on the scale of ‘effort’ I’m willing to put into photography.
Mexican duranta, blooming wildly indoors right now.
