There is a ton of garden and yard stuff that needs taking care of, and mostly it’s been too hot and I haven’t had the energy. But two little improvements to the giant-pandemic-pool-that-ate-our-backyard make me happy:
- that big blue net bag has proven quite useful for corralling kid toys (a clear pool is a lot easier for doing my mini laps in — three strokes from one end to the other)
- and that table with a pretty elephant-printed fabric over it will do nicely for holding magazines and drinks and snacks so that you can reach them from inside the pool
My goal is to swim every day in July, weather permitting. So far, so good — today, did twenty minutes of laps, ten minutes of floating with magazine, and twenty minutes of playing with Anand. Good.
