I was so busy running around collecting school board signatures yesterday, I forgot to wish my dad, Navaratnasingam Mohanraj, a happy 78th birthday! Happy belated birthday, daddy! Sorry! At least I have a good reason for my tardiness, in service to my community and country. 
You raised me with these values, so you only have yourself to blame…

(My dad is in the white shirt, top right, in front of the house I grew up in. I’m in the center, black shirt, carrying a child in one arm, holding on to another child with the other hand, which I feel could be some kind of metaphor for being on the school board….)
