The traditional annual climb out on the porch roof and freak out passing neighbors bit, hanging the Christmas lights. I tried new lights this year, and I like them MUCH better than the icicle lights we’d gotten at the local drugstore before; these actually hang reasonably straight right out of the package. The ones we had before (for the last ten years) never seemed to hang straight despite all my tugging and months of hanging; v. frustrating.
I think we’re going to end up with a mix of cool and warmer lights (on other decorations), which I *think* will be fine? We’ll see how it goes, but fingers crossed it looks good. (They do also come in warm white, blue, and multicolor.)
Will likely take me a few days to get everything up properly. But nice to make a little progress.
