Autumn Logophile

Time disappears when I’m making art — it feels so different to writing; I’m not sure why. I’ve spent 25 years thinking of myself as a writer; it’s a little unnerving thinking of myself as also maybe an artist. I feel guilty when I realize I’ve spent many hours today on art and nothing on writing…

Oh well. I do like how this came out — I used Kavi’s autumn motifs again for this design. I wanted a seamless repeat that would coordinate with my Pumpkin Curry & Two Teacups tea towels, and I think this works well. You could sew napkins or a tablecloth or a mask (or another tea towel) from it. I’m even buying myself a sample in chiffon, as I think this *might* make a cute scarf? I called it Autumn Logophile — coming up with the words was fun.

Spoonflower extended their 50% off fat quarters sale over the weekend, so if you sew, now is a great time to buy fat quarters for tea towels pretty affordably. (Around $7 each.) Per usual, I can’t make it available for sale until they process my order for a proof, so it’ll be a day or two on this one.

If you don’t sew, you can get products ready-made at this link (including wallpaper, if you REALLY love autumn):
