Hey, so we’re adding a new tier to Patreon, the premier subscription box. This is limited to 25 patrons, like the original subscription box, and only within the U.S. (Shipping costs, bah. Sorry!)
It’s $20 / month, to get a box quarterly, so if you’d like a December box (themed “dragons & knitting”), now would be the perfect time to sign up. You’d then be charged $20 on Oct 1, Nov 1, and Dec 1, for a box shipping out in early December. Or, $10 / month for the original subscription box (just a few left right now, I think, though maybe some people will decide to upgrade).
Mostly, you’ll just get more of whatever’s going in the original box, but also probably at least one bigger item that wouldn’t fit in the original box, which is a lot of why I wanted to add a tier. Originals ship in a USPS small flat rate box; premier in a medium flat rate box.
As for what’ll be in it — I don’t know exactly yet! Usually that kind of evolves as the months progress and I experiment. But today I started making candles again, for the first time in almost 20 years. I did one in rosewood, and two in chai spice scent, with soy wax and crackling wood wicks.
I’m supposed to let them cure for 1-2 weeks before lighting them, and I think I’m going to have to hide them in a cupboard or something so I’m not tempted to light them early. But assuming they actually work well, there will likely be some candles in the December shipment. Dragons must have fire.
And I meant to say this before — if you’re scent-sensitive, and would prefer unscented candles or soaps, that should totally be do-able; just let me know. I can even skip the coloring, if you’d like!
