Kevin’s parents gave Kavi art classes for Christmas, but it’s been so hectic that here we are, April, and we finally started one last night. But it’s pretty cool — a watercolor class taken via Domestika, about $25 for each of us (plus supplies). Fun doing it with Kavi.
It’s in Spanish, with captions, which works pretty well except when my Spanish isn’t quite good enough to really follow what she’s saying AND paint at the same time, so it’s a little more stop-and-go than might be ideal. But it totally works, and I fantasize that my Spanish will be a little better too at the end of it.
The first lessons were on transparency / opacity, and gradients. We’re supposed to practice those exercise a bunch more, so might do that for a day or two before going on to the next lesson.
