I wish this was perennial, because I would plant a lot of it (and I try not to spend a lot of money on annuals). Maybe I’ll try growing it from seed next year? Or take cuttings? Dig it up and divide it into a few little plants to baby over the winter? Hmmm…
I’m starting to do a little more with colorful foliage — I’m liking this purple heuchera and the almost black one, with its contrast of tiny pink blooms. Great for a shady spot.
I can’t remember what this is — help? A little blue perennial that I planted last year, just coming into bloom now. [Editing to note: plumbago]
I planted these in early spring, and this turned out to be kind of the perfect spot for them — they bloomed strong through spring, and then just kept going through summer, as the trees leafed out above them.

Centaurea montana, continuing to throw out little blooms. If I took the time to deadhead, I’d probably be getting a lot more, oh well. Plus a bee!
I haven’t been watering the parkway garden at all, due to busy-ness, and the poor ageratum are definitely struggling a bit — but the blooms are hanging in there, and give a great waist-high pop of color.
