Allium schubertii, with rose bush, pansy planter, bird bath behind.

Iris with pink peonies. This iris will be finishing soon, but they overlap for a few days.

White irises (with a tall lily coming on the left), under my neighbors’ lovely ornamental elderberry (I think).

Allium schubertii (not hardy in my zone, need to replant every year — keep meaning to try overwintering it like the dahlias, but haven’t remembered to yet…), with a rose. Like giant garden fireworks!

Weigela “Wine and Roses” is finally fading (bloomed for a few solid weeks), but that’s okay, because the actual roses are showing up now. I think this one is David Austin’s Shakespeare 2000, but not positive.

Perennial salvia, “May Night.”

Hanging peonies for drying — very curious whether I get a better result this way than with desiccant. We’ll see! The desiccant should be faster, but that’s not necessarily so important.

John Cabot rose (a hardy Canadian rose, named after an explorer), with Sicilian honey garlic.

Apologies to the bug-phobic, and I won’t be filling my feed with cicada photos, but I had to take at least one. There are a fair number in my garden, but not crazy amounts, which is fine with me!

The black and (mostly) white irises showed up — I guess they just bloom a little later than the blue and purple in my garden. I think the black is “Before the Storm” — not sure about the white…
