First strawberry harvest. They’re a little softer than supermarket strawberries, and mostly not quite as sweet, but more flavorful. I like eating them while I’m gardening, but I do collect some to bring in for the kids. Will probably get at least 3-4 pints out of this patch, and it’s a nice groundcover after that.

Garden log 5/23/24. So, drying peonies in dessicant turned out pretty successful. It’s not exactly like a fresh peony — in the first two photos below, the bottom left flower is fresh, the rest are desiccated.
