My dad posts a lot of old photos on his FB wall. Since he’ll be in rehab for a while after his stroke, I thought he might like to see some of the photos at the house (which I assume are some of his favorites, since they’re framed and on the walls). So I wandered

Quick dad update; he’s working hard at physical therapy (recovering from left side paralysis after stroke and small heart attack), and today reports some improvement in left arm, which is great. It’s been a little over two weeks now. We’re mostly trying to make sure he gets as good sleep as possible, and eats enough

My dad turned 83 yesterday; we were able to have a small impromptu party at the rehab hospital. (It was also my Aunt Marina’s birthday the day before.) My mother-in-law passed away last night. This is my favorite picture of Ann, in a shade of blue that suits her so well, dancing merrily with one of Kevin’s colleagues at our 25th anniversary party.
