T. H. White: A Very Secret Diary, part 1

Day The First
on which I write in this journal of mine of some thoughts I have and an idea.

Mallory, for kids, but about today. Visiting Disneyland tomorrow, more later.

Day The Second
on which I have still further thoughts, do some rereading, and have a crucial insight.

Have just visited a shop in California. Merlyn's Magic Shop in Disneyland, California.

To quote from my own, other paper journal

Incidentally, Excalibur was there in a corner, stuck sideways through a stone. If you could pull it out, you were at one time allowed to write your name in a book, but the apparatus is now out of action.
Merlyn. Backwards in Time. Teaching what has to be learned...

Day the Eighth
Or wherein I return from California back to good old England and leave for the countryside to conduct some research. As well, some observations from reading Mallory on the trip home

England good, rainy, but good. Mallory, on the otherhand, never noticed just how boring the start is, a few pages in and already Arthur is King, fought eleven other Kings, built the roundtable and he's off. So, I think I'll just put Mallory aside and just start from the beginning.

Home for just a day, off to the countryside for some Hawking and other sports.

Day the Tenth
Or on the sports of kings and lords and just how much fun can be had with horses, hawks, and wooded lots

Went badger spotting. No, not in that meaning, really, watched a group of badgers build a dam. Fascinating stuff. Nothing sexual about it.

This inspires me, both the anachronisms and the badgers, need to work them in somehow.

Day the Thirtieth
Or writing, it takes time and effort and Hitler, not a nice guy

After days of notes and hawking and thinking have decided on theme - Education of a King. Now, how would I go about that? Okay, technically, how would "Merlyn" go about it?

And this Hitler fellow, not good, must work that in somehow, but perhaps not in the first edition.
