Hazy morning here. Woke up too early, watched hours of tv, only now starting to actually wake up. Things are moving on the de-cluttering front, though. The dining table is the last thing to do downstairs, aside from moving out a bunch of boxes and furniture, which some friends are coming by to help with tonight. Also today, I go and get the auto glass repaired, sign up for a storage unit, pick up a dolly, and meet with the painter; we're going to get rid of the rich gold and chocolate color scheme in our bedroom, which I ahve to admit, is a little intense, as well as one of our red walls downstairs. Plus touch-ups all over the damn place. If I get the car back in time, might also do a run up to Gethsemane; I still have a windowbox and basket to plant, and could use some more fillers as well for some of the already-planted containers. Should there somehow magically be more time, sew up canopy for the gazebo. Busy busy busy!
On the writing side, was happy to sell a story yesterday -- on a proposal, first time I've done that, I think. As yet untitled superhero story will be going to the new Wild Cards anthology, Fort Freak. Should be fun to write this summer, although will need a fair bit of research, since it's set in a police station, which I know pretty much nothing about. I don't think I've ever even been in a police station. Although I've watched a lot of them on tv...
